    Life can be tough, and sometimes it can feel as if the storms may never pass, but you don't have to face them alone. It’s okay to feel overwhelmed and it’s okay to reach out for help. That’s where I come in. No matter what challenges you are facing - stress, anxiety, grief, depression, or difficulties in your relationships - I'm here to offer you a safe and non-judgmental space for support. I believe therapy should be personalized to fit your unique needs, which is why I draw from a blend of approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Mindfulness Therapy. In our sessions, we'll cover everything from setting boundaries and improving communication, to building healthier relationships and understanding yourself and your emotions better. Together, we'll dig into root causes, set achievable goals, and work on developing realistic coping strategies to help you navigate life's challenges more effectively and cultivate a greater sense of well-being. I understand that everyone's preferences and circumstances are different, which is why I offer both virtual and in-person sessions to accommodate your needs.     Nicole enjoys working with teens, adults, and couples. As a certified educator, she understands the struggles unique to human development and school culture. She is gifted in building relationships with teens and young adults, providing validation and encouragement as they navigate issues like PTSD, college/career goals, and self-harm. She also has a heart veterans, ministers, and public servants. In couples counseling, Nicole helps build better communication, deeper intimacy, and healing from past hurts.Nicole is rooted in Solution-Focused Therapy and helping clients experience change in every session, while working at the client's pace. She is also versed in TF-CBT which offers children and their families healing from trauma. She believes the road to healing can be fun and enjoys incorporating humor, play therapy, expressive arts, and therapeutic games into her work.

    Amanda Schmidt, LPC

    Amanda has worked in education for 17 years with 11 of those being a school counselor. She has focused on crisis work for the last six years inside and outside of the school setting. She has extensive experience with those struggling with suicidal ideation and non-suicidal self-injury. After a crisis, it's important to have ongoing support and to be met without judgment. Amanda has experience working with trauma, depression, and anxiety. She enjoys working with ages 9 and up and with parents needing support dealing with children struggling with mental health concerns.
